Over two huge days at the Western Australian Museum Boola Bardip we’re going to be celebrating the power and beauty of comics.
Saturday is our Academy Day for aspiring comics makers, educators and aficionados to come together for a deep dive into comics.
Sunday is our Market Day, ideal for family groups, where 85 of Australia’s more imaginative comics makers will be sharing their works and running workshops.
Our exhibition, “TALE TOWN: Tales from the Hermit Kingdom” will be open from the 6th to the 30th of August.
As always, our entire program is entirely free to take part in thanks to the incredible work of our committee and the generous contributions of our sponsors.

2022 Two-day Festival Structure

For long-time fans of PCAF, we want to remind you of a few HUGE changes for this year’s Festival.
First: We’re going to be at our new home at the Western Australian Museum Boola Bardip with most of our events happening under the blue whale in the iconic Hackett Hall.
Second: The Festival is now going to be happening over two days! As always, everything will still be completely free to attend.
Saturday will be our PCAF Academy Day, full of conversations, presentations and workshops aimed at aspiring comics makers.
Sunday will be the Market Day, where over 85 exhibitors will fill Hackett Hall and share their incredible comics works. We’ll also be running our family workshops all day on Sunday.
Stay tuned for our full program reveal so you can book in for sessions!
