PCAF Academy

Monthly PCAF Academy is a meetup on the first Sunday of most months for community-building and knowledge-sharing.

Please note that monthly Academy sessions are community meetups rather than family-friendly events and generally recommended for older teens and adults. Younger people who are serious about making comics are also welcome, but require an adult to accompany them.

These sessions usually consist of an artist talk, workshop, or other activities related to creating comics, appropriate for any skill level from beginners to pros.

PCAF MONTHLY ACADEMY

How to get involved

We recommend joining the private PCAF Academy Facebook group for more information as that’s where ongoing community discussion happens, and you can get notified about upcoming meetups.

All sessions are hosted in the Geographe Room of the State Library of WA, on Sundays from 2-4 pm.

January and August are rest months for the committee to recover from festival obligations.

Currently monthly Academy sessions are open to walk-ins, but if our limited space fills up, we may need to start ticketing in the future.

In the case of event cancellation, we will update this page and the event in the private PCAF Academy Facebook group.
