✨ Announcing our 2025 Poster Artist, Ali Marbeck! ✨
Ali is a freelance illustrator and designer based in Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia. We were first introduced to her cozy and whimsical work when she was awarded a high commendation for the 2024 Comic Creator Hot Desk Fellowship, and are thrilled to show off more of the amazing work she has done for PCAF this year!
The central aim of her art is to comfort – via soft rounded forms and cohesive colours. Ali enjoys blending clean graphics with a gentle whimsy. Drawn to themes of isolation and disability, she often illustrates subtly magical worlds and characters rediscovering the joys of everyday life.
Under her brand, Ali Illustrations, she has created a range of prints and paper goods sold locally and internationally. Currently, Ali is developing the first issues of her graphic novels, Luminary and Mountain, pursuing her dream of working as a comic artist – be sure to check out more of Ali’s work on her Portfolio.
