Get ready for the 2026 Festival | 25th & 26th of July at the State Library of Western Australia

PCAF STORIES

PCAF Stories is our biannual comics reading event that turns sequential storytelling into lively performance art. Comic creators take to the stage and read their stories to you, sometimes with sound effects and usually with a bit of cheeky audience participation! We host two readings per year, one for adult audiences and one just for kids. There’s something for everyone!

We’re always looking for new readers, so if you’re a comic artist looking to read for a crowd, check here for more info!

PCAF Stories: Kids

The Kids Edition of PCAF Stories usually takes part in the State Library Theatre during school holidays, featuring family-friendly stories from local presenters. Come along for exciting stories that might be quirky, weird, dangerous, or gross, but always fun!

PCAF Stories is not a drop-off event and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

PCAF Stories: Adult edition (18+)

The Adult Edition of PCAF Stories is hosted at a local bar and takes place in the evening, with a roster of local comic artists ready to share their stories with you. Show up for a drink and a laugh, and maybe you’ll even make a comic yourself!

PCAF Stories: Adult Edition is for adults (18+) only and takes place at licensed venues.
