Get ready for the 2026 Festival | 25th & 26th of July at the State Library of Western Australia

JB Harris, aka Harri, is a graphic designer and illustrator by day and a comic maker by night. They are passionate about using their creative skills in service of a good cause. After residing in Japan for three years they were drawn back to Perth by the amazing creative community and never want to leave. They have self-published a few short comic projects, and are currently working on their first graphic novel.

My time at PCAF

I was lucky enough to join in the first year of the Comic Makers Network, and was sad to leave it when I moved to Hiroshima, Japan in 2019. I was delighted to see it continue to grow from afar and develop the Perth Comic Arts Festival, so when  I returned to Perth, I was thrilled to officially join PCAF in 2022. Since then I’ve worked in the Market Hall team, and been able to provide graphic design support. In 2024 I moved into the position of Communications Director, where I have focused more of my efforts on PCAF’s Marketing, but I still love helping to bring the Market Hall to life.

Some of My Favourite Comics:

  • Our Dreams at Dusk by Yuhki Kamatani
  • Fullmetal Alchemist by Hiromu Arakawa
  • Ranma ½ by Rumiko Takahashi
  • All-Star Superman By Grant Morrison, Frank Quitely and Jamie Grant
