The State Library of Western Australia has once again warmly welcomed PCAF inside it’s walls to host us for our Academy Day, Market Day, and Exhibition for this year!!
2025 is a monumental year, celebrating both the Magic of PCAF and the 40th Anniversary of the Alexander Library Building– which we have never been more proud to call our Home!!
Construction on the Alexander Library building began in 1978 and was completed in 1985. Before coming together in the new building, the state library was housed in Hackett Hall since 1915, and various staff and collections were distributed in nine other buildings and office spaces around the CBD.
Inspiration for it’s timeless design was taken from the Toronto Reference Library that opened in 1977- the home of our wonderful friends at Toronto Comic Arts Festival.

We can’t wait to come together again to celebrate comics, books and the creative WA community!
Thank you SLWA for being our wonderful hosts and sharing our passion for the power of stories and comics!!
