Location: Hackett Hall (the one with the whale skeleton, can’t miss it) at WA Museum Boola Bardip, Cultural Centre, Perth CBD
Saturday 6 August: PCAF Academy day! Intended for those who are more serious about comics whether you’re an aspiring creator, academic, professional author, or other enthusiast, this day is all about in-depth aspects of comics as a craft. A full day of programming will be followed by the Comic Arts Awards of Australia ceremony in the evening. It is all free, but the entire day will be ticketed by programming blocks to manage numbers (you may sign up for just part or full day, no walk-ins). Keep an eye on Eventbrite for more info.
Sunday 7 August, 9:30 am to 5 pm: Our open-to-the-public festival day features our vibrant market hall where creators sell their comics, plus family-friendly programming! Drop in to find some new reading material, try your own hand at comics, and catch our riotous comics battle royale. See Eventbrite to register for free workshops.
Our wonderful accompanying Tale Town exhibition will be open for viewing both days, and will stay up for museum visitors to see until 30th August.
Programming is being solidified now, we will announce as registration opens.
